    Qualifications/Requirements

    As a part of the Deep Security team at Trend Micro, you will be a thought leader and key technical contributor identifying gaps and risks, and constantly working to expand the scope of testing performed on the growing Deep Security product line. The mission of Deep Security is to provide comprehensive security protection for server workloads in an ever-changing ecosystem including the datacenter, public cloud, virtualization, containers, serverless, and beyond. You will be working to help our team stay one step ahead of our customers’ needs to ensure our quality assurance processes anticipate and validate the software in representative environments, and set the bar to ensure our customers’ expectations are exceeded.

     

    Your role will be to lead software developers, automation testers, and QA specialists to improve our test methodologies and tooling to constantly improve the quality of our software and improve the experience of our customers.

     

    We’re looking for someone who:

    • Loves to work with and inspire cross functional teams to understand business objectives, customer needs and gaps, and help build and deliver on the team’s objectives
    • Has working experience as a technical leader / people manager and proven experience collaborating effectively with local and remote groups and team members
    • Builds, maintains, and shares expert knowledge regarding trends and technologies in quality assurance, test automation, and related software development fields
    • Has expert level skills and experience performing functional testing
    • Is highly proficient in large scale system performance testing including reliability, availability, scalability and performance of large server and/or cloud-based software systems
    • Is driven to solve customer problems as a team, in a holistic customer centric way
    • Has experience simulating complex real-world network environments and workloads, as well as testing in production
    • Understands the value of data and metrics, and utilizes exceptional communication and data visualization skills for communicating performance and testing results in both a summarized and detailed form
    • Has network or system administration experience either in production or lab environments – is proficient in setting up test environments and configuring computer platforms, software applications and tools
    • Believes the most sustainable testing strategy involves automation, that all tooling is a first-class citizen, and should aim to be as self-service and user friendly as possible
    • Has experience or a strong desire to work in a security space
    • Has a bachelor of computer science degree (or equivalent), and 6+ years in software testing, 3+ years as a lead
