    The Field Services Engineer (FSE) is a technical bridge between our Enterprise Large Account Representatives, Sales Engineers, and their customers. The FSE will take ownership of delivering ordered services to Trend Micro Customers. The Field Services Engineer will also assist the Regional Technical leader in securing pre sales opportunities that require Trend Micro Software Installation or services. Proactively managing and delivering technical information to our customers both onsite, online, and via telephone.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Install and configure Trend Micro’s Software according to best practices
    • Enable customers through training, knowledge sharing and mentoring, when required
    • Provide software and networking troubleshooting to very large enterprise customers during the implementation process
    • Perform health checks and validate customer’s implementation of Trend Micro’s software
    • Maintain and expand working knowledge of current and beta Trend Micro products
    • Share best practices with other FSEs and SEs to enhance quality of service and efficiency
    • Channel feature requests to Product Management to enhance Trend Micro’s products
    • Create product deployment training collateral such as guides, presentations, and videos
    • Identify ways to automate common procedures, draft requirements for tools/scripts, and develop such utilities
    • Travel (about 30-50%) for customer deployment and other customer facing activities

    Qualifications/Requirements

    • BS degree or combination of: education and pre-sales experience in Security Software and Systems

    Experience Required

    • Sales Engineering and/or professional services experience preferred
    • Experience working with various Microsoft software and systems
    • Experience generating ad-hoc software tools and utilities using common script or programming languages such as Python, Bash, PERL, Windows PowerShell, or Unix/Linux command shells
    • Experience creating technical documentation, including product documentation, technology and process best practices, and technical whitepapers
    • Experience with various content security products (hardware & software) preferred
    • Solid multi-tasking, troubleshooting and problem resolution abilities
    • Self-starter and quick learner with desire to continually learn new tools and technologies
    • Strong verbal and written communication, customer service, account management and negotiation skills, with the ability to interface with a diverse set of clients

    Candidates with the following skills will be given advanced consideration:

    • Trend Micro – OfficeScan, ServerProtect, Deep Security, Deep Discovery, ScanMail
    • Microsoft - Windows, Active Directory, System Center, Exchange, SQL and IIS
    • Experience with Linux, PostgreSQL, Lotus Notes and Domino is a plus
    • Host Based Firewalls, Intrusion Detection and Prevention, File Integrity Monitoring, Antivirus, Data Loss Protection, Endpoint Encryption, E-Mail and Web Gateway Security, e-mail encryption, Penetration Testing, SysLog and SIEM
    • VMware vCloud Director experience and familiarity with AWS, Windows Azure, VMware vCloud is a plus
    • Citrix XenDesktop and Provisioning Services experience is a plus
    • Routing, Switching, Edge Firewalls, Load Balancing

    Desired Certifications:

    • VCP – VMware Certified Professional
    • CCNA – Cisco Certified Network Associate
    • CISSP – Certified Information Systems Security Professional
    • MCP – Microsoft Certified Professional
    • MCSE – Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert
    • Linux/Solaris/UNIX System Administration
    • CLP – Certified Lotus Professional
