Senior IT Manager

The Sr. IT Manager role is responsible for providing service excellence by identifying key business issues and determining business needs within the IT infrastructure and Help Desk teams. This position is a hands-on role, which works closely with the team to deliver, manage and monitor solutions and services to achieve highest possible internal user satisfaction.


The Sr. IT Manager is responsible for effectively managing the team, its relationships with internal stakeholders and vendors to ensure exceptional performance. In this role, the Manager is responsible for the managing and security of the office IT infrastructure across the Americas.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage daily activities of IT infrastructure team and helpdesk engineers, provide IT infrastructure vision, drive technical strategy, and manage team initiatives using agile strategies to ensure consistent delivery of results aligned with organizational objectives.
  • People and budget management as required.
  • Manage the planning, designing and implementation of IT projects that supports the ongoing business growth while participate in day-to-day operation support of the environment.
  • Collaborate between multiple internal teams, domestic or international, and provide high quality services and support.
  • Define strategies and policy to identify risks and improve information security as it relates to the network, systems, end-point devices, and PBX, while allowing ease of use for internal users.
  • Demonstrate a proactive approach to identify processes that need automation, and develop tools to improve ease of use and user satisfaction.
  • Create comprehensive documentation to a level by which processes are reproducible by others.
  • Participate & manage our on-call rotation to support our production systems.
  • Participate in the routine audits of environment for compliance with established standards, policies, configuration guidelines and procedures.
  • Coordinate problem resolution with other corporate groups to ensure service availability and performance within agreed targets. Ensure the activities of the business units are never put at risk because of operational support activities or unresolved problems of IT infrastructure.
  • Implement, manage, monitor and maintain the server and network infrastructure to ensure continued support of the company business activities.
  • Deploy and support Trend’s own products in the production environment, then report feedbacks to the Product Management and RD organization, before product shipment.


  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year College or university and a minimum of 8 to 10 years of related experience, including at least 2 years of successful people management experience.
  • Experience leading projects through all phases of project lifecycle
  • Strong English verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.  Must have ability to translate and explain technical jargon and concepts  to a level that is understandable to end users
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment.
  • Strong customer service skills with end users, clients, and co-workers, with the ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to travel to company locations outside assigned work location
  • Must demonstrate commitment to compliance with applicable laws and regulations, the Company Ethics and Compliance Code, and other Company policies and procedures, and take all required training courses.
  • Proven ability to complete tasks with constrained deadline
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (including Visio and MS Project) is a must
  • Relevant vendor certifications of network, cloud, telecom will be strong evidence of technical, and therefore a plus
  • PMP certification a plus
