The Junior HR Business Partner (JrHRBP) is a tactical support role that provides full cycle Human Resources generalist support to support organizations within the US. The JrHRBP will report to the Sr. Director HR America’s. This role will provide HR support, tools and strategies that optimize our people productivity, retention, processes and culture, with the ultimate goal of facilitating business results.  The ideal candidate will be looking for a generalist role and is continually curious on how the business presently operates; and how it could be even more effective in the future.

 

Successful candidate has proven experience in the following areas:

  • Influencing employees and leaders
  • Recommending new approaches, guidelines to effect continual improvements in objectives, productivity and employee development
  • Managing activities associated with workforce planning, performance management, learning and development, compensation, and employee relations
  • Advising and coaching leadership on HR best practices
  • Conflict mediation and collaboratively finding solutions
  • Internal and external customer service focus, with the ability to efficiently communicate and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Co-facilitation of training and roll out of various HR programs
  • Maintaining knowledge of local labor market trends and coach leaders on competitive ways to attract and retain top talent
  • Experience contributing to small to medium size companies with fluid infrastructure and resources
  • Experience directly supporting knowledge workers, and other corporate functions
  • Key role success factors : curiosity, flexibility, high influencing skills, dynamic communication skills, generalist experience and cultural sensitivity

Qualifications/Requirements

  • 2-4 years’ experience in fast paced, multiple priority, high-tech “start-up like” company is preferred
  • US HR employment law knowledge and working towards SHRM / HRCI certification is an asset
  • Basic Canadian provincial and Latin America regulatory knowledge and experience is an asset
  • Basic HRIS reporting skills, techniques and practices; PS, Workday and ICIMS experience preferred
  • Exceptional verbal/written skills, diplomacy and responsiveness
  • Ability to consistently deliver high quality customer service, positive influencing and tactful messaging in a professional manner
  • Collaborating and flexibly working with HR team and other corporate functional groups
  • Fundamental knowledge of compensation
  • Must be adaptable to frequent, unplanned change and demands to meet the business goals
