The Sales Operations Analyst will play a key role in contributing to the growth and productivity of our US business.  The role is expected to raise sales efficiency, sales productivity and process compliance within assigned regions, by means of consulting with the sales workforce and implementing best practice sales & operational processes.  This Sales Ops Analyst role is a liaison with all other areas of our business (finance, legal, HR, support, marketing, and global resources).  It is a solutions driven role with the purpose of ensuring cooperation and consistency across the organization, with key company objectives.  Strategic influence and independent decision making will be required regularly, to fulfill the mission of this role.

Duties & Responsibilities

Business Partner – align closely as a partner to Sales Leaders to analyze business needs, understand strategic sales plans and align tactical delivery.  Partner and manage relationships with internal stakeholders across the sales organization.  Utilize full discretionary authority over day-to-day sales operations support and service to assigned sales region.   

 

Analytics – build sales analytic models to analyze seller, revenue, pipeline, forecast, customer and product trends, with a view to providing business insights to key decision-makers.   Evaluate plans, results, and alignment with other groups within the business.  Solicit feedback from internal stakeholders to robustly assess trends and results against goals and objectives. 

 

Operations – be an integral part of managing the operational cadence of a specified business area, with strong attention to detail and use of strategic consulting.   Uses knowledge of Trend Micro’s sales cycles, business strategies, current industry trends, and strategic alliance processes, to set sales ops analyst strategy and drive tactical sales plans for the business.

 

Optimization – focus on process and continuous improvement of core projects through automation and process enhancement.  Drive operational excellence through identification and execution of opportunities, and removal of obstacles to achieve deliverables.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • BA/BS degree required
  • Intense desire to learn;  burning  curiosity to create business solutions that drive things forward;  thrive on being challenged;  extremely results-oriented focus
  • 2+ years of experience in a sales, finance, analyst or business operations role
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with strong business judgment
  • Proficient in using Excel, Power Point, and other database tools is a must.  CRM software experience is an advantage
  • Strong communication skills, an ability to see beyond the numbers and translate these to sound business reasoning
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others, using influence and business savvy to achieve results,  in a dynamic environment
  • Trusted advisor with excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong drive and will to succeed
  • Flexibility and ability to adjust on the fly to new demands; knows when and how to infuse a sense of urgency with internal stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Sales, Marketing and/or Project/Program Management
  • Experience with matrixed, multi-locale/geographic organizations
  • Sales Operations competence (forecasting, planning, sales systems, reporting, processes and methodologies, compensation and quota management)
  • General understanding of Sales and BI Systems and domains relevant to specific processes & practices
  • Ability to conduct sophisticated and creative analysis, yet translate those results to easily digestible insights, messages, communications, and presentations
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, manage conflicting priorities and to complete assignments under aggressive time constraints
  • Demonstrated ability to be productive with minimal supervision. Must be results oriented and able to move forward without complete information
  • Ability to work effectively in a matrixed environment with diverse audiences, management levels, cultures, and personalities
